Neuigkeiten über den Film
KURT COBAIN ABOUT A SON:
Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) collaborated with Seattle musician/producer Steve Fisk on the score for the film, Kurt Cobain About A Son, which is showing in select cities starting this month and running through the end of the year. The film is built around never-before-heard audio-taped interviews with Kurt Cobain - no celebrity soundbites, news clips, or tabloid angles - over cinematic film imagery of the three cities in Washington state that played a major role in his life (Aberdeen, Olympia and Seattle), and it's very beautiful. Barsuk Records just released a soundtrack CD for the film, which contains an excerpt from Ben Gibbard and Steve Fisk's film score, plus a new recording by Ben Gibbard of the Beat Happening song, "Indian Summer," and other music that influenced Kurt (from Arlo Guthrie & Creedence Clearwater Revival to Bad Brains & Butthole Surfers to Mudhoney & Mark Lanegan to Iggy Pop, David Bowie & R.E.M.).
Please note that there is no Nirvana or Cobain music as the film is more about Kurt's life and the music he loved than the music he played.
