2008er Tour - Fakten, Gerüchte, Halbwahrheiten

Hmm, Bonnaroo da müßte aber schon mehr im Busch sein, ich befürchte eher dieser Gegenveranstaltung zur Republikaner Convention.

Andererseits hat Jeff bei diesem Uni Besuch ja auch ein Festival in Aussicht gestellt, spricht dann doch für Bonnaroo.

An eine richtige Pearl Jam Tour ohne Album will ich so recht im Wahlkampf nicht glauben, höchstens so eine Wahlkampfgeschichte.

Bevor dieser Teil des Forum komplett einschläft, mangels Aktivitäten von den Jungs, start ich mal ein Gerüchtethread. Wo wird die Band als nächstes touren (höchstwahrscheinlich USA), wann kommt das nächste Album (ich weiß nicht mehr wo, aber irgendwo hab ich vor gut einem Monat gelesen, Mike hätte gesagt sie, wären wieder im Studio), was wird aus der Singlebox, usw.....

Dieses Thema hat sich bisher als Gerüchtequelle für 2008 bewährt und es wurde nicht nur über mögliche Touren/Konzerte spekuliert und hinsichtlich der Singlebox gibt es ein Thema, wo dessen Verschwinden aus den Ankündigungslisten auch besprochen wurde, meiner Meinung nach reicht das erst einmal.

Und zwar ist der Mockingbird der Staatsvogel des US Bundesstaates Tennessee und in dem befindet sich ein County, der Coffee County heißt und in diesem County findet jedes Jahr das Bonnaroo Festival statt.

Sonics Fans First to Know Pearl Jam's Prepping New Album

So the Sonics won last night. Kevin Durant scored a bunch of points and stuff. The biggest highlight, though, came from the seats, when Pearl Jam bassist—and die hard Sonics fan—Jeff Ament donned a headset for a chat with announcer Kevin Calabro.

Jeff commented on Durant's talent, voiced opposition to the Sonics' possible departure, and said our recent snow (quality) was stellar. Regarding his band, Jeff told Calabro, "We're gonna get together here in a couple of weeks and try and write some stuff."

And then the little ball bounced around, people talked about the absence of LeBron James, and Pearl Jam fans freaked out.

Hat tip to Billboard's Jaded Insider, who adds this anticipation-fueling nugget:

"Beyond the upcoming writing session, J.I. is in the know that Pearl Jam is going to play some shows before too long. One appearance may even be ready to announce as early as next week."

Much to Jeff Ament's chagrin, PJ may play live before the Sonics pick up their 12th win. And release a new album before the team knows where they're playing next season.

While J.I. was watching his beloved Cleveland Cavaliers get obliterated tonight by the Seattle Supersonics (hey, no Lebron though), we took some solace in a quick on-air interview with Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, who revealed that the band was about to regroup after a six months-plus hiatus.

"We're gonna get together here in a couple of weeks and try and write some stuff," said Ament, who also weighed in on the talents of star Sonics rookie Kevin Durant ("he's fast ... and long") and the quality of the snow in the Pacific Northwest of late ("probably the best in 10 years," he claimed).

Beyond the upcoming writing session, J.I. is in the know that Pearl Jam is going to play some shows before too long. One appearance may even be ready to announce as early as next week.
