Ha, wunderbar, diesen Thread wollte ich auch schon eröffnen!

Ich hab mal versucht, die lyrics rauszuhören, ist aber nicht ganz gelungen, schreibe aber den größten Teil jetzt mal hier!

Diese Textzeile finde ich auch am besten, erinnert mich ein wenig daran, wie ich damals gedacht habe, als ich noch in unserem Dorf gewohnt hab...

Im Vergleich zu Goch fühl ich mich in Krefeld unglaublich wohl.  Bin ab und zu (ganz freiwillig) da zur Ferienzeit.

aber stimmt schon... die Textstelle beschreibt die einengende Atmosphäre meines Wohnortes sehr gut

dieses lied passt so unheimlich genau zu eddies stimme, das ist schon erschreckend, wie geil das klingt. ich bekomm da im moment nur vom dran denken gänsehaut...

Danke für die Korrekturen, das hat alles jetzt mehr Sinn! Vor allem "gas in my tank", ich wusste auch nicht, was "guess in my tie" hätte bedeuten sollen...

Im Vergleich zu Goch fühl ich mich in Krefeld unglaublich wohl.  Bin ab und zu (ganz freiwillig) da zur Ferienzeit.

Tja, wenn man nicht in Krefeld lebt......schon immer, dann kann das auch sehr nett sein!
Was ich sehr schön finde ist, dass dieses Lied anscheinend doch das die Schönheit dieses Liedes, sowohl vom text als auch von der musikalischen Ausstrahlung aus gesehen ,wieder das Zeug zu einem PearlJamklassiker hat,(im Gegensatz zu WWS, sorry aber das ist meine Meinung) und dass nicht nur ich dieser Meinung bin.

Ist mal wieder eine der wunderschönsten Balladen die Eddie jemals verfasst hat. Der Text einfach unbeschreiblich, das Instrumentale atemberaubend. Vielen, wie auch mir, wird der Text aus der Seele sprechen.

mir spricht er zwar nicht aus der seele denn ich fühle mich in good old germany ganz wohl aber das ziel des textes einfach auszuwandern is wohl...naja...offensichtlich denk ich.
ein toller song.
nebenbei...also ich find das garnicht mal schlecht was eddie da auf gitarre spielt und dazu noch so singt.
