Pearl Jam will be returning to Australia for the first time in 3 years, bringing with them their old touring mates, Ben Harper and Relentless7 and Liam Finn.

Pearl Jam is one of the most influential live bands of the modern era. Beginning with their iconic debut album, 'Ten', in 1991 and continuing through to today, the quintet have consistently combined the perfect amalgam of punk aesthetics with anthemic, classic rock sounds, and in the process have created one of the most respected catalogues in rock history. For the past 18 years, Pearl Jam has remained a relevant cultural and political force, having completed countless international tours and selling over 60 million records worldwide.

It's been 3 years since Pearl Jam last toured Australia and New Zealand and their Australian fans clearly haven't forgotten them with two songs appearing in Triple J's recent Hottest 100 of All Time list ('Alive' at No. 24 and 'Better Man' at No. 39).

The shows announced will be 'one-show-only' concerts and promise to be THE must-see rock events of the summer season!

Scheinbar kriegen die das in Australien aber hin, würde mich auch nicht reizen, wie es ausschaut wird dieses Mal wirklich alles mitgenommen was irgendwie mit Besuchern gefüllt werden kann.

Och nö. Und dazu noch im November. Wenn sich NZ nicht auf 05.12. oder später legen sollte, war es das für mich.

Es könnten aber auch die einzigen Konzerte in Australien sein,es spricht dafür die großen Arenen und Neusseeland noch 1-2 Konzerte dann wäre die Tour in zwei Wochen durch für Pearl Jam sind ja nicht mehr die jüngsten.Es halten sich hartnäckig die Gerücht das Sie in Dezember 2 Konzerte in Japan geben  und Mexico wollen sie im Dezember auch spielen mal sehen was passiert.Die Termine in Australien passen gut zu meiner Urlaubsplanung mal sehen.

Noch ne Nachtrag zu den Konzerte in Australien  wenn ich richtig zusammen gerechnet habe würden in den drei Arenen ca 127000 Fans rein passen,daher denke ich nicht das da noch Konzerte in Australien dazu kommen ,Neuseeland vielleicht auch keine,die Arenen muß man erst mal füllen.

Neuseeland kommt auf jeden Fall noch dazu.
Und in Australien bestimmt auch noch (wie Boba schon sagte) 1-2 über Ticketmaster.
Wobei es spannend wird, ob sie die Stadien wirklich füllen können. Ich habe da leichte Zweifel.

Pearl Jam will be returning to Australia for the first time in 3 years, bringing with them their old touring mates, Ben Harper and Relentless7 and Liam Finn, to play for one night only in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch. Tickets for all shows go on sale on Monday 17 August.

Also auch 2 Konzerte in Neuseeland.
Ben Harper und Liam Finn auch mit dabei, ganz runde Sache.
Wenn man bedenkt, dass Ben Harper in Australien ebenso viele Alben verkauft wie Pearl Jam, erhöht seine Auswahl die Chancen, die Stadien voll zu bekommen, doch enorm.

Da hat man sich zwischen den Terminen aber ordentlich Spielraum für Zusatzkonzerte oder ausgtedehnte Surftouren gelassen...  .

Dann wohl eher für die Sauftouren
Zusatzkonzerte soll es ja nicht geben, 'one night only' ist jeweils das Motto für die einzelnen Städte. Und es wird schon schwierig genug, die Schüsseln vollzubekommen.
Insofern gut das Herr Harper mit dabei ist. Der ist ja Down Under auch eine große Nummer, und wird den Ticketverkauf schon ankurbeln.
Die Terminplanung finde ich aber generell super. Die Verbinden diese Tour scheinbar mit einem netten Urlaub an den jeweiligen Orten. Gute Einstellung, und auch nett für das 'Personal', welches mitreist.

Ach schade, ich hätte gern noch ein weiteres Konzert dieses Jahr mitgenommen...

Letztendlich brauch ich mich aber nicht beklagen, so kann ich den Urlaub ohne jeden weiteren Anstellstress o.Ä. verbringen...

Jungejunge! Über 80 Euro für ein Ticket treibt die Preisspirale aber mächtig nach oben, oder? Und wieso sind die NZ-Tickets so viel preiswerter? Wenn man bedenkt, dass die Europakarten bei 160-170 USD lagen, würde mir als Australier schon ein wenig der Kamm schwellen, Supportacts hin oder her!
